How long have you known you are living with FA? After two years of being misdiagnosed, I was officially diagnosed with FA at age 11.

When FA gets you down, what do you think/do to feel better? I try to surround myself with great people. I remind myself how far I have succeeded in life, with FA as an obstacle, and think that I may have been diagnosed with FA, because I could handle it.

HollyFranz2What is one way living with FA has POSITIVELY affected your life? The things I have been able to do and people I have met, well that’s two things. Living with FA has led me down paths I would have never even known of and for that, I am forever grateful.

What is a favorite motivational quote of yours? “Everything happens for good reason”.

What is the best advice YOU could give to a person who has been newly diagnosed with FA? Always remember that obstacles (the symptoms of FA or the use of a walker/wheelchair) can often become a stepping stones to greater achievements and successes.
