How long have you known you are living with FA? I think I was 15 years old, maybe 16.

Describe your transition from walking to walker/wheelchair: I now use a walker and I have a wheelchair for long walks if I need. I also got two chair lifts added to my home, one for my room and one for my front door.

What do you like to do to stay active and what type of exercises work for you to stay strong? I honestly don’t do that much. I just play a lot of games with my friends throughout the world.

Do you have any hobbies or special interests? PC gamer

What is a good trick to make daily life easier? Treat yourself anytime you can. When FA gets you down, what do you think/do to feel better? I usually talk to my friends.

What is one way living with FA has POSITIVELY affected your life? Gave me more friends to talk to.

What is the best advice YOU could give to a person who has been newly diagnosed with FA? Its life, it may be hard to get used to but it will be alright.

What is the first thing you want to do when a cure/treatment to FA is found? Go jump on a trampoline.

“I have FA but FA doesn’t have me.” What does this statement mean to you? How do you live your life in the face of adversity? I’m not sure what to think. I kind of realized it’s here to stay. I’ve accepted it, and all I say is it’s life.
